Right2Unite is a progressive social movement that is dedicated to the advancement of equality, tolerance, engagement, unity and cohesion, based around the core value of human rights for all people. We believe in freedom from discrimination based on gender, sexual orientation, culture, religion or political views. We recognize that society at large is polarized, fractured and divided. Fuelled & amplified by a flood of misinformation conjured up by unethical social media, compromised journalism, unprincipled fake PR spin and political expediency humanity has become shackled by the handcuffs of fear and indifference.
Through dialogue and engagement we aim to make a difference by uniting people into one front, fighting for change that serves the greater good. We believe that we are more powerful and effective as a cohesive unit instead of working in isolated pods of self or group interest. There is an age-old African proverb “If you want to go quickly, go alone. If you want to go far, go together”. Our strength and power is born of unity and speaking with one voice, we can effect change!
21.03.20 will see the launch of the Right2Unite Festival for the People at the Cradle Boutique Hotel in Kromdraai, Johannesburg.
